Dindyal’s magnificent spell started with a hat-trick in his first over, an over that included four wickets as Leeward Islands slipped from 85-3 to 85-7 at the end of the 23rd over.

The first wicket of the hat-trick was the prized scalp of captain and First-Class batter Jewel Andrew for 19, followed by the wickets of West Indies Under-19 player Nathan Edward and Isra-el Morton off consecutive deliveries and Matthew Miller for a second-ball duck.

Dindyal then cleaned up the innings, claiming the last three wickets to finish with a second successive five-wicket haul in the tournament.

Seamer Jonathan Van Lange with 2-19 and Thaddeus Lovell (1-23) had made early inroads as Leeward Islands slipped to 46-3 by the 14th over, before Dindyal took centre stage with a memorable spell.

Van Lange led Guyana’s batting effort with a fine 77 off 76 balls, the big-hitting right-hander blasting seven fours and three sixes.

Opener Rampertab Ramnauth again got into the 40s, scoring 41 off 61 (3x4s, 1×6), while Dindyal made 39 off 48 (6x4s, 1×6), Riyad Latiff 23 off 48 and Anthon Lim 19* off 13 (1×4, 1×6).
