A 21-year-old driver and a teenage passenger were arrested on Tuesday following the discovery of an unlicensed gun in the teenager’s pants crotch.
In custody are Devontea Tappin, a 21-year-old labourer of Andyville, Wismar, Linden and Devon Glasgow, 19, also a labourer of West Watooka, Wismar.
At the time of the interception, the men were in motor car, PNN 5981 driven by Tappin.
According to a Police report, at about 03:30hrs, ranks on mobile patrol intercepted the car in the vicinity of the Mackenzie/Wismar Bridge in Linden.

Police said the ranks informed the occupants that they would like to search the vehicle and their personal belongings for anything illegal.
As such, the men were ordered to take possession of their belongings and exit the vehicle.
While doing this, Police said Glasgow began to behave disorderly. He was warned by the Police about his conduct.
A search was thereafter conducted and a 9mm pistol was found in Glasgow’s pants crotch.
Police said the suspect was told of the offence and cautioned; he remained silent.
Tappin was also searched but Police said nothing illegal was found in his possession.
Both men were arrested and taken to the Wismar Police Station along with the firearm as the investigation continues
