Three matches, three no-results on wet Super50 day in T&T

The CG United Super50 Cup continues to be severely hampered by inclement weather in Trinidad and Tobago with fourth round action on Tuesday being the worst day of the tournament thus far.

Not a ball was bowled in the three scheduled matches with teams forced to settle for an equal share of the points on a wet day in the twin-island republic.

Guyana Harpy Eagles, now with three no-result games and a defeat, were down to face Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Queen’s Park Oval, Barbados Pride was up against Jamaica Scorpions at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and Trinidad and Tobago Force was pitted against Windward Islands Volcanoes at Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground, St. Augustine.

Before Tuesday, every single round had at least one no-result game.

The final round is set for Thursday (November 27) with Guyana Harpy Eagles against Barbados Pride at Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force against Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Queen’s Park Oval, and Windward Islands Volcanoes against Jamaica Scorpions at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

The top two teams will clash in the final on Saturday (November 29) at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
