The Guyana Girls’ Under-15 National Team has arrived in Aruba ahead of the Concacaf Under-15 Girls’ Championship Qualifiers, which kick off on August 6.
The team, comprising a mix of local and overseas-based players, has been in training for over a month. Assistant Coach Delon Williams expressed optimism about the team’s chances in the tournament, which features 28 youth national squads from across the Caribbean.
Guyana is in League C and will face Anguilla, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guadeloupe, and host nation Aruba.
Women’s Football Federation (WFF) President Andrea Johnson expressed pride in the team’s dedication and urged Guyanese to support the junior Lady Jags.
