Potaro Gardens, massive twin condominium structures, will be constructed by Trican Developments Inc. at Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD) area.
A condominium- or a condo, for short- is a building divided into multiple units owned by exclusive occupants. And the Potaro Gardens facility promises to be a space where luxury and opulence meet Guyanese culture and heritage.
“We’re really trying to get through to the luxury clientele.
“We know Guyana has a thirst for that and we’re trying to get into the amenities galore,” Trican Developments Consultant, Sebastian Otway told the News Room at this year’s International Building Expo.
This focus of Trican Developments, Otway explained, is why Potaro Gardens will boast abundant modern amenities across its three-acre space for all occupants.

Those amenities include a fitness and wellness centre; a pool; walking and jogging paths; a barbecue area; a courtyard; a children’s playing area; event space and a social lounge. A multi-rise parking structure will also be constructed so residents and guests do not worry.
Additionally, Otway highlighted that Trican Developments is paying homage to Guyanese culture and heritage as it develops the facility. That’s why the facility is named Potaro Gardens; the twin structures are also called Barima and Waini.
Furthermore, local architects are being used to develop the facility. The space will be replete with Guyanese flora and fauna to give that authentic local feel even as the frontiers of luxurious, comfortable living are pushed.
