Kevin Sinclair ‘paying it forward’ with new non-profit foundation

West Indies all-rounder Kevin Sinclair has extended his impact beyond the cricket field by launching the ‘Kevin Sinclair Foundation’ in his hometown of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amerstand, Berbice.

The initiative provided school supplies to over 300 children and offered mentorship from Sinclair and former national cricketer Steven Jacobs.

The foundation’s launch brought the entire community together to celebrate Sinclair’s philanthropic efforts.

The cricketer emphasised the importance of education and sports for overcoming adversity.

“This is about giving back to the place that shaped me,” Sinclair said. “I want these kids to know that they can achieve anything with hard work and dedication.”

Jacobs praised Sinclair for his commitment to the community, highlighting the importance of role models who remember their roots.

The Kevin Sinclair Foundation is supported by a group of sponsors including Jacobs Jewelry, First Change Builders Inc, and Cricket Zone USA. Sinclair plans to continue expanding the foundation’s reach to help those in need.

Despite his young age, Sinclair has already made significant contributions to cricket, both on and off the field. His Test debut half-century and impressive domestic record have solidified his status as a rising star in West Indies cricket.
