The Hikers Hockey Club is gearing up to return to the Barbados Hockey Festival, where they compete in both the Mixed and Masters categories.
After a successful comeback last year, when it secured silver in the Mixed division, the club is aiming to build on that success and add a Masters title to its collection.
Bringing together a 25-strong squad from across the globe, including the USA, Canada, Brazil, Jamaica, and Guyana, the Hikers are combining their love for hockey with a reunion spirit.
The team has thanked sponsors Promo Plus and HDM Labs for their support.
With the tournament set to begin this week, the Hikers are eager to represent Guyana on the international stage.
The Hikers Mixed team, led by Guyana’s skillful national player, Jamaraj Assanah, will face off against ABC on Monday at 10:50 AM.
The Masters team will be captained by Devin Munroe, who was clinical in the Guyana Masters team, securing silver at the World Masters in London in 2024.
They will take on All-Stars at 5:30 PM.
