Asif Mohamed Abrahim has been sentenced to four years imprisonment after he was found guilty of Trafficking in Person and Assault.
Abrahim made his appearance at the Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate’s Court on Monday before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh.
Police Headquarters reported that Abrahim trafficked and assaulted a Venezuelan woman between 3rd November 2023 and 18th January 2024 at New Road Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara.
He was sentenced to four years on the Trafficking in Person charge and one month on the Assault charge. These sentences will run concurrently.
