Officers of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) caught a Colombian and a Venezuelan with 5.536 kilogrammes (or about 12.2 pounds) of cocaine on Friday.
In a release, CANU said the officers acted based on information received. They went to Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, and intercepted and searched the two foreign nationals.
The search revealed a quantity of cocaine, which weighed 5.536 kilogrammes. CANU said investigations are ongoing.
