The East Bank Football Association’s Boys Under-14 League provided a thrilling spectacle on Saturday.
Young talents showcased their skills in three action-packed encounters at the National Training Facility at Providence.
The day started with a dominant performance from Swan FC, who swept aside Kuru Kuru FC in a resounding 6-0 victory.
The show star was Joel Gilkes, who scored sensational hat-trick goals in the 8th, 18th, and 40th minutes, displaying impressive composure and clinical finishing.
Kevan Charles added a brace (37th and 52nd minutes), while Ryan Bostan chipped in with a well-taken goal in the 48th minute to seal the emphatic win.

Despite the scoreline, Kuru Kuru FC showed commendable spirit and fought until the final whistle.
In the second match, league leaders Timehri United reaffirmed their top spot with a confident 4-0 victory over Police FC.
The unstoppable Nyron Barrow was Timehri’s hero. He netted a brilliant hat-trick in the 19th, 29th, and 50th minutes, further cementing his reputation as a rising star and the tournament’s leading scorer.
Police FC, playing their first game of the season, showed glimpses of promise and will aim for a more substantial showing in their upcoming fixtures.

In the final clash of the day, second-placed Herstelling Raiders FC delivered a commanding 4-0 win against Agricola FC.
The standout moment came from 12-year-old Wayshawn Forde, who wowed the crowd with a sensational left-footed free-kick from a distance, curling the ball majestically into the top corner.
Forde also completed a hat-trick with goals in the 12th, 43rd, and 58th minutes, demonstrating excellent timing and precision.
Samuel Gaspar opened the scoring for the Raiders in the 4th minute, setting the tone for their dominant performance.
