A 23-year-old Airy Hall, Essequibo businessman was charged and placed on $100,000 bail after he was found with several rounds of illegal ammunition.
Deodnauth Lall appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him by Magistrate Teriq Mohamed.
The charge was filed under Section 16 (2) (a) of the Firearm Act Chapter 16:05.
Lall was arrested on April 10.
He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail. The matter was adjourned to May 20, 2025.
