Businessman Brian Tiwari declared that he is “back with the PPP” and fully supports the work of President Dr. Irfaan Ali and Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo.
Tiwari, the principal of the construction firm BK International, spoke to reporters on Thursday as he secured a fleet of new equipment from ISG, a subsidiary of MACORP.
As he highlighted his company’s investments in Guyana, Mr. Tiwari hailed the ongoing infrastructure transformation across the country. He opined that the development seen now was something he would have never imagined.
And Tiwari said his company stands ready to support this developmental agenda.
“I’m saying that I would like to work with the President. So I am on board again with the government, with the PPP. I never left,” Tiwari said.
BK International has been involved in several major projects across Guyana.
However, the company faced a multi-million-dollar lawsuit instituted by the State for breach of the contract for the construction of the Yarrowkabra Secondary School, on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway. BK International and its insurance company, North American Fire and General Insurance Company (Nafico) faced the lawsuit.
Mr. Tiwari did not speak about this incident but urged other prominent businesspersons to support the government. He singled out the Mohameds as a group that should once again throw their support behind the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C).
