Joseph Sahadeo, a 58-year-old man, died on Sunday after he was involved in a jet ski accident at the Splashmin Fun Park.
Police said the accident occurred at around 13:00 hrs.
It was reported that the man left home with his wife, Goumattie Singh, his daughter Padmini Sahadeo, and other family members. They brought along two jet skis to their outing at the fun park.
At the fun park, the man went into the water with a jet ski while his daughter and her friend were on the other. It is alleged that the now Joseph collided with the other jet ski that Padmini was on and hit his head. He fell into the water but was rescued by family and friends.
Soon after, Joseph was taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was seen and examined by a doctor who pronounced him dead. Visible injuries were seen to his head and face.
Joseph’s body was later taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral home, awaiting a post-mortem examination. An investigation is in progress
