Orwin Rankin, a speedboat operator, was arrested Tuesday morning after he allegedly beat his wife.
Police Headquarters, in an update provided to the media, confirmed that the Leguan resident was arrested and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
In a Facebook post, a woman named Sharmilla Dhanraj shared a photo of a young woman with a bloodied face. In her post, Sharmilla said her daughter, Selina, was abused by Rankin and pleaded for any assistance as she (Sharmilla) resides overseas and could not immediately help her daughter.
Police ranks in Region Three intervened in the matter afterwards.
