To enhance their daily operation and provide a more comfortable environment, fishermen who operate at the shores of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, will soon benefit from upgraded facilities, dredging works, and Police patrols in the area.
President Dr Irfaan Ali made these commitments as he interacted with fisherfolk early Tuesday morning.
To address the concerns raised by fisherfolk, President Ali said the lights and dry dock in the area will be fixed first.

Other works at the facility will include the establishment of a security hut and the installation of a ramp. Additionally, all derelicts will be removed from the location by the end of this week.
