The Guyanese cricket community was thrown in mourning this week, with the passing of Stephon Sankar, a young cricketer who was also making his mark as an umpire.
The 18-year-old all-rounder came through the ranks from Under-13 level at the Malteenoes Sports Club and Transport Sports Club.
The Guyana Cricket Board and the Georgetown Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association paid tribute to Sankar.
