The woman’s sister revealed that they communicated daily and that she last spoke with Jenny on June 10. This was also the last time her husband, Rasheed Mohamed, reportedly saw her alive.

After the sister could not reach her, Rasheed told her [the sister] that Jenny and their daughter, 25-year-old Saffia Mohamed had an argument on June 9 during which Jenny told her daughter to move out.

Rasheed claimed that he left for work the next morning, leaving his wife with Saffia and Austin Ramchand, Saffia’s 28-year-old husband.

About a week later, on June 16, following further information, a Police team revisited the Mohamed’s residence and upon entering, discovered suspected bloodstains on a couch, walls, and floor of the hall.

A handwritten note, allegedly from Jenny, was also found inside a notebook. The note was, however, deemed suspicious due to the contents.

“Clean-up attempts were observed, and potential evidence, including blood-stained upholstery and swabs, were collected. A vehicle associated with the suspects was also examined, and strands of hair were recovered for testing,” the police said.

Other relatives were also interviewed and gave additional information to support the case of murder.

Saffia then led investigators to the dump site, where the decomposed body was recovered, bearing multiple stab wounds and a rope tied around the neck – all of which was done under video and audio recording. The scene was processed and documented.

All three suspects remain in custody as investigations continue, and a file is being put together for legal advice to be sought.
