Police have arrested three suspects as investigations continue into the alleged double murder of Mark Thomas and Wendy James, both residents of Baramita, North West District in Region One.
The suspects involved in this case were identified as Kizzian Baird; Junior Richmond, known as ‘Po-Pal’; and Ewart Wilson.
Police, in a statement, said the incident occurred on June 16, 2025 at New Star Backdam, Region One.
Between June 16 and 19, a police team from Regional Police Division #1 executed a thorough search of the New Star Backdam area after the suspects fled their homes.
All three suspects were apprehended in various hiding spots within the Backdam region. They have undergone video and audio interviews, and witnesses have provided written statements confirming the suspects’ involvement in the acts.
Post-mortem examinations of the two victims will be conducted on Monday, June 23 at Port Kaituma.
