Two sisters were found on Thursday night at the Supenaam waterfront, Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam) after they had been reported missing.
Police Headquarters said the girls, ages 12 and 15, were found lying in a hammock. They are from the Glasgow Housing Scheme, Sisters Village, Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne).
“They informed the Police that they were from Sisters Village, East Berbice and that they had travelled to Parika from where they took a speedboat to Essequibo Coast, “looking for someone”. Efforts are underway to have the person contacted as the girls claimed,” Police said.
Additionally, the mother of the children was also contacted and arrangements were made for her to receive them.
