ANUG, Mohamed’s ‘WIN’ party join forces

A New and United Guyana has “joined forces” with businessman Azruddin Mohamed’s ‘We Invest in Nationhood’ party to contest the 2025 General and Regional Elections.

A signing ceremony was held on Saturday at WIN’s Head Office, where Mohamed, who has been sanctioned by the US government, and ANUG leader, Dr. Mark France inked the agreement.

“This historic step reinforces the growing strength and momentum of the WIN campaign. With ANUG’s addition under the WIN banner, the movement gains valuable electoral experience and national reach, making ANUG the first political party to officially join the WIN platform,” a statement noted.

Furthermore, the parties said this agreement is part of a “broader national movement.”

Previously, Mohamed ruled out coalescing with other parties.

“We have the strength to win the elections on our own. We did a sample of about 80,000 persons throughout this country, we sampled, and we got 65% of the votes,” Mohamed told reporters at Georgetown Magistrates’ Court last month.
