In a festive atmosphere at a vibrant Albion Ground, the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) held a grand T10 cricket match and family fun day on Sunday (July 6).
The exciting 10-over Tapeball game featured President Irfaan Ali, Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Charles Ramson Jr., Director of the Global Super League Jamie Stewart and several Guyana Amazon Warriors players.
President Irfaan Ali XI defeated Berbice XI by 28 runs in a high-scoring game, which was followed by a stage show featuring local artistes Simon Naidu, Vanita Willie, Sonia Singh, Elsa Lisa and Arjit Singh.

At the conclusion of the game, Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh and President of the Guyana Cricket Board Bissoondyal Singh assisted in the presentation of trophies to the Player-of-the-Match and champion team respectively.
For his all-rounder effort, Johnson Charles was adjudged Player-of-the-Match.
