Azruddin surrenders after allegedly offering $500k to woman assaulted by ‘Doggie’ to drop matter

US-sanctioned Azruddin Mohamed surrendered to Police Thursday, hours after law enforcement officials made attempts to arrest him for an obstruction of justice after he alleged offered money to the woman assaulted with a gun by his chief organiser “Dirty Doggie”.

Azruddin turned himself into the Police in the company of a lawyer.

Police sources told the News Room that Azruddin called in the woman and allegedly offered her $500,000 to drop the matter. She was savagely beaten by “Doggie”, whose real name is Bradley Sampson. He also whipped out his unlicensed gun and aimed it at her at Cuffy Square in Georgetown.

Doggie is now wanted by the Police for a string of offences, including savagely beating the woman in public with a gun on Tuesday (July 15, 2025).

This matter was initially reported to the Police by the young woman. The report resulted in the Guyana Police Force issuing the wanted bulletin for Sampson.

After the wanted bulletin was made, the woman was reportedly called in by Azruddin, and he made the offer to her. Once that offer was made, she went back to the Police.

Officers went to Mohamed’s campaign headquarters on Wednesday night to arrest him, but were unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, though he had publicly said that he would surrender to the Police by noon Wednesday, Doggie is yet to do so and he is yet to be apprehended.
