Guyana extends unbeaten run in CFU Girls’ U-14 Challenge series

Three from three are the Guyanese girls at the ongoing Caribbean Football Union under-14 challenge series in Trinidad and Tobago.

Their last triumph was securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Anguilla on Monday in Tier II Group C action of the CFU U14 Challenge at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Trinidad and Tobago.

A seventh-minute penalty from Lehiana Bengamin proved decisive, sealing three points and pushing the Golden Jaguars into the competition’s knockout round.

This follows their 2-0 win over Turks and Caicos Islands and 2-1 over Antigua and Barbuda.

Their final group match is today (Tuesday) at 14:00 h at the Hasley Crawford Stadium against the Cayman Islands.

According to the tournament format, the three group winners from Tier II will automatically advance to the semifinals. The final spot will be awarded to the best second-place team across all groups.
