WIN candidate Bryan Max in altercation with ‘Critic’ after sent by Azruddin to collect monies

 – both men charged and on bail

We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) candidate Bryan Max and social media personality Mikhail Rodrigues, also known as the ‘Guyanese Critic’, have both been charged following an altercation that stemmed from a money collection dispute involving WIN presidential candidate Azruddin Mohamed.

Max was recently caught on camera with a cutlass in his hands, allegedly threatening to kill Education Minister Priya Manickchand and businessman Alphonso.

This incident was publicly called out by Vice President, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo, who, in a response to the pre-election report from the Carter Center, criticised them for not including it in their findings.

Max, who regularly produces live videos on the WIN platform and at party rallies, has become a visible face of the Azruddin-led movement. He is also a prominent speaker at WIN rallies, although his videos do not appear on the WIN social media platforms.

Police confirmed on Saturday that both men have been cooperating with investigators. Rodrigues was granted $50,000 bail, while Max was placed on $25,000 bail. They are both scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 25, 2025.

The confrontation unfolded early Saturday morning after Max, who is a prominent spokesperson for the WIN party, called into Rodrigues’ morning live show and said he was collecting money for Azruddin. Rodrigues then invited Max to the studio; Max showed up, during which an expletive-laden and physical altercation took place.

The incident was captured live, and the video was widely circulated on social media.
