Nursing Assistant remanded to prison

Days after she falsely claimed she was present at the post-mortem examination of Adriana Younge, Tiana Serena Lewis-King was charged and remanded to prison.

Lewis-King, a 23-year-old nursing assistant from Sixth Street, Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara, was charged with Inciting Acts of Terrorism when she appeared at Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

She was not required to plea and bail was objected to by the prosecutor.

The matter was then adjourned to May 30, 2025.

In the voice note, Lewis-King, claimed she attended the autopsy and had been sent by the Minister of Health. However, the Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony, when contacted, categorically denied both the statement and any knowledge of Lewis-King.

Additionally, police reviewed video footage from the post-mortem, confirming that Lewis-King was not present at any point during the examination.

It was also found that none of the three qualified foreign pathologists involved requested input from any nurse assistant or aide.

Authorities had described the recording as a deliberate attempt to incite public mischief and obstruct justice.
