Two marijuana farms at Yarrowkabra Backdam, Soesdyke/Linden Highway was destroyed by ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Friday.
Police revealed that the narcotics destroyed on both farms had an estimated street value of $21, 083, 664.
The ranks were led by a woman Deputy Superintendent during the exercise.
The farms measured two acres and one acre, respectively.
The two acres farm contained about 4,500 cannabis plants ranging from three (3) feet to five (5) feet in height. A makeshift camp and a barrel containing about 140lbs dried cannabis were found at the camp.
The one-acre farm contained about 1500 cannabis plants ranging from one (1) to two (2) feet in height.
Both farms along with the dried cannabis and plants were destroyed by fire.
The estimated street value of the narcotics destroyed today by the team is approximately $21,083,664.
