Tanasha Mayers of the Academy of Excellence in Region Three topped this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), earning a perfect score in all four subject areas.
This was announced by Education Minister Priya Manickchand on Wednesday at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, Liliendaal.
Kalissa Haimpersaud of the Huis’t Dieren Primary School in Region Two copped second place with 487 marks.
The top performers by region are listed below:
Region 1- Dravid Stoll of the Kamwatta Primary School got 481.4 marks and a spot at the Bishops’ High School
Region 2- Kalissa Haimpersaud of the Huis’t Dieren Primary got 487 marks and earned a place at Queen’s College
Region 3- Tanasha Mayers of the Academy of Excellence scored 487.88 marks and earned a place at Queen’s College
Region 4: Sandhyaa Swammy of Peter’s Hall Primary School earned 486.96 marks and will be attending Queen’s College
Region 5: Safeerah Sheriff of the New Sapodilla School of Excellence got 486.09 marks, earning a spot at Queen’s College
Region 6: Adore Barnwell of the Skeldon Primary scored 486.06 marks and earned a spot at Queen’s College
Region 7: Michaiah Hart of the Potaro Primary got 481.3 marks and will be attending the Bishops’ High School
Region 8: Pricilla Henry of the Micobie Primary School got 471.52 marks and will be attending Micobie Secondary
Region 9: Gustavo Abraham of the Annai Primary School got 481.45 marks and will be attending the Bishops’ High School
Region 10: Fernanda Gomez of the Regma Primary got 484. 31 marks and will be attending Queen’s College
Georgetown: Christian Ramsay of Mae’s Primary School got 486.96 marks and will be attending Queen’s College
