Rain forced a no-result in the final preliminary game of the second ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League on Thursday at the National Stadium, Providence.
The day game was severely affected by inclement weather, being officially called off in the midst of a constant drizzle and covers on the square at 13:58h, the cut-off time for a five-over contest to begin.
There was initially a delayed start and that was followed by interruptions that led to the match being reduced to a 17-over contest, then a 14-over game.
Batting first yet again, the unbeaten Rangpur Riders were dismissed for 79 in 13.5 overs with Saif Hassan and Mahidul Islam Ankon both making 25.
For Central Stags, Jayden Lennox (3-6), Angus Schaw (3-13) and Blair Tickner (3-17) were the leading wicket-takers.
The equal share of points means defending champions Rangpur Riders have gone top of the table, ahead of the home franchise and their opponent in the final, Guyana Amazon Warriors.
Central Stags moved from bottom of the table to third, while fellow newcomers to the League- Hobart Hurricanes and Dubai Capitals- finished fourth and fifth respectively.
The grand final on Friday night is set for 19:00h.
