Regal Stationery supports Guyana Police Force with sport equipment donation

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has received a significant boost to its sporting activities following a large donation of equipment from Regal Stationery and Computer Centre.

The presentation, which took place in Georgetown, reinforces the long-standing relationship between the two organisations.

The substantial donation included equipment for a wide range of sports, from cricket, football, and hockey to table tennis, boxing, and chess.

The package also featured a hot and cold water dispenser, aimed at supporting the physical and mental well-being of officers.

Ian John, Manager of Regal Sports, represented Managing Director Mahendra Hardyal at the GPF Sports Club in Eve Leary.

He spoke of the “goodwill” shared between the two and stated that more support could be forthcoming if the equipment is put to good use.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration) and GPF men’s cricket captain, Ravindradat Budhram, accepted the donation and promised the gear would be used to keep officers “mentally and physically fit”.

Budhram concluded the event with a light-hearted challenge to Hardyal, saying, “It can be softball or hardball — the ground [Eve Leary] is ready,” referencing an upcoming cricket match between the two sides.
