Elton Dharry won a hard-fought battle against Panama’s Roger Saldana, securing a unanimous decision victory at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as he prepares for a possible world title fight soon.
The win puts Dharry firmly on track for a shot at the International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Super Flyweight title, where he is expected to challenge the reigning champion, Ricardo Malajika of South Africa, later this year.
A series of impressive performances on the undercard also marked the night.
In a stunning professional debut, Desmond Amsterdam made quick work of Romeo Norville, securing a knockout victory just one minute and 10 seconds into the first round with a series of powerful body shots.

However, the national Super Middleweight title fight between Charwin Estwick and Edward DeClou ended in disappointment.
