President Dr. Irfaan Ali on Sunday night announced that the ‘Because We Care’ cash grant for schoolchildren all across the country will increase to $100,000. Additionally, a new transportation grant of $100,000 will be offered annually.
That means each child will get $200,000 annually, a sum that could increase even further. President Ali said these promises will be delivered once the party is re-elected after the September 1 General and Regional Elections.
President Ali made these announcements on Sunday as he addressed a People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) rally in Lethem, Region Nine.
