Guyanese cyclists set for French Guiana showdown

A six-man strong Guyanese cycling squad is set to compete in the grueling 33rd Tour Cycliste de Guiana in French Guiana from August 17-25. The riders will face off against top teams from Suriname, France, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.

Representing Guyana are:

Briton John (We Stand United Cycling Club)
Christopher Griffith (KFC Evolution Cycling Club)
Cortis Dey (KFC Evolution Cycling Club)
Quincy Ridley (Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club)
Alex Mendes (Kaieteur Attack Racing Cycling Club)
Paul Chooweenam (Team Alanis)

According to the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF), these cyclists have proven their mettle on the local scene and are ready to test their skills against regional rivals.

The GCF  is confident that the team will fly the Golden Arrowhead high.
