Two bandits were nabbed by Police on Monday after they were involved in a larger gang that reportedly robbed several persons on Monday at La Jalousie, West Coast Demerara. Three persons drown in separate incidents 

Three persons drowned in separate incidents on Monday, according to information from Police Headquarters. Seeta Ghannie, a 44-year-old housewife, of Garden of Eden, East Bank Demerara, drowned at the Azeeza Akousa Creek, along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway at about 17:30 hrs Monday. She was reportedly at the creek with her husband, Vijay Ghannie, and other relatives.
