More than 300 sexual assault cases recorded monthly

Guyana records in excess of 300 sexual assault cases monthly, according to the Manager of Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Policy Unit of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, Dr. Cona Husbands. Dr. Husbands spoke at the “Asking for It” exhibition on Tuesday; the event was conceptualised to raise awareness about sexual abuse.

Bartica man found with narcotics in bucket

Police have arrested a Bartica resident after he was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of narcotics in a bucket. Mon Repos man on $250,000 bail after theft of steel rods
