From study hub to school expansions, President Ali promises more support for children in St. Cuthbert’s Mission

President Dr. Irfaan Ali committed major support for the children of St. Cuthbert’s Mission, highlighting that if re-elected, key investments will be made to support their education.

The President, during a meeting in the Indigenous community on Wednesday, said the nursery school there will be expanded. A new tarmac will be built so children can comfortably play outside.

A $145 million primary school, replete with 13 classrooms and modern facilities, will be invested in. Finally, the President said the secondary school will also see worthwhile investments.

That’s not all. The President also emphasised the importance of higher learning and encouraged more students to stay in the community, contributing to its development. To support them, a study hub with adequate internet access and devices will be established in St. Cuthbert’s Mission.

“We are going to build that facility to help you,” the President vowed.

Beyond investments in youth, President Ali said the government wants to support more economic ventures in St. Cuthbert’s Mission. So he promised that investments in developing the main access road and internal roads, and electricity transmission networks will be forthcoming.

President Ali is seeking re-election with the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) at next week’s General and Regional Elections.
