One Movement Entertainment, in partnership with Ciarra’s B Enterprise, will host the Flair Under-21 T20 cricket tournament on September 27 and 28 at the Malteenoes Sports Club.
Four teams—Forest Fusion, Emerald Warriors, Blazing Brigade, and Bartica East Bank Warriors—will compete for a top prize of G$150,000, with the runners-up receiving G$65,000.
The opening day on September 27 will feature two matches: Blazing Brigade will face Forest Fusion at 9:00h, followed by Emerald Warriors against Bartica East Bank Warriors at 13:00h.
The final is scheduled for September 28 at 13:00h.
The tournament is expected to attract some of Guyana’s top youth talent.
Notable players who could feature include Jonathan Van Lange, Isai Thorne, Sanjay Algoo, Romario Ramdeholl, Zeynul Ramsammy, Rampersaud Ramnauth, Thaddeus Lovell, Shamar Apple, Jonathan Rampersaud, Yeudistir Persaud, Govin Persaud and Justin Sutton.
Squads are pending final confirmation on Thursday due to inter-county trials.
The teams are led by experienced coaches: Rawle Merrell (Forest Fusion), Martin Pestano-Belle (Emerald Warriors), Ranole Bourne (Blazing Brigade), and Terry Newton (Bartica East Bank Warriors).
According to the organisers, the tournament’s primary goal is to provide a competitive platform for young cricketers to showcase and develop their skills.
