The investigation into the shooting of social media personality and entertainer Lolita Callendar, popularly known as ‘Lola Doll’, remains active as Police continue to pursue leads.
The News Room was reliably informed that no one is currently in custody in relation to the matter but the investigation is ongoing.
Police Headquarters, in a statement, had revealed that Callendar’s condition was stabilised and she continues to improve.
Her doctors provided the update after the Police were able to interview her for the first time after the attack.
Callendar was shot multiple times on Saturday, September 6, 2025, around 23:35 hours, while seated in her car outside her home at Texas Square, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
According to investigators, a lone gunman on a motorcycle opened fire, striking her in the neck, face, hands, and right leg. She was rushed to the hospital.
Two suspects were taken into custody as part of the probe. They were both released without being charged.
The first suspect, Police had said, was released on $500,000 bail on condition that he reports to the Police. His release comes after his 72-hour detention period expired.
The other suspect, Paul Daby Jr., also known as ‘Randell’, who the Police had issued a wanted bulletin for in relation to the attack, had surrendered. He was questioned and subsequently released.
The motive for the shooting is not known.
