
Big Man Cricket (BMC) is thrilled to announce that it has secured the generous sponsorship of well-known benefactors Peter Lewis and Ravi Mangali, leaders of their respective businesses, Peter Lewis Contracting and Asphalting Services, and Permaul Trading and Distribution.
Both companies, rooted in the historic region of Berbice, have proudly supported this tournament for the past three years.
The 2025 Big Man Cricket Guyana Over-40 T20 tournament is set to feature an impressive 14 teams vying for both glory and friendship in what promises to be an exciting cricket season, consisting of 49 matches played across the nation.
Each team comprises approximately 25 players, resulting in an estimated 350 Over-40 cricketers participating.
Notably, several of these athletes have been shortlisted to compete in the inaugural Over-40 T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in Karachi, Pakistan, in November and December 2025.
Among those selected from Guyana are: Narsingh Deonarine, Mahendra Nagamootoo, Royston Crandon, Lawrence Farnum, Raja Amit Pooran, Hemraj Garbarran, Vishan Lall, Antonnel Atwell, Zamin Amin, Asif Chan (son of Naim Chan), and Devon Clements.
The tournament is structured into two zones, Pool A and Pool B, each containing seven teams.
The round-robin phase will feature 42 matches, with each team playing every other team in its zone once.
Following this stage, four teams from each pool will proceed to the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and ultimately the grand finale, culminating in a total of 49 thrilling contests.
