The lush greens of the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) will come alive this Sunday, October 5, when golfers from across the country gather for the highly anticipated Trophy Stall Golf tournament.
Known for its vibrant competition and camaraderie, this event promises not only thrilling play but also an opportunity for Guyana’s best golfers to fine-tune their skills ahead of the Suriname Open.
President of the Lusignan Golf Club, Anasha Ally, expressed her delight at the club’s continued partnership with the tournament’s sponsor.
“I’m very pleased for our club to once again be associated with Trophy Stall. They are a long-standing supporter of the club and Mr. Ramesh Sunich is considered to be a friend of the Lusignan Golf Club. We look forward to his continued support. This tournament will give our golfers who are heading to Suriname much-needed practice and we look forward to a great tournament,” she said.
The tournament will tee off sharply at 08:00h, played in medal play format over 18 holes.
Golfers will be competing for an exciting line-up of prizes, including Best Net (top three), Overall Best Gross, Nearest to the Flag (Hole #4) and Longest Drive (Hole #5).
Registration is currently open and will close at 13:00h on Saturday, October 4. Interested players are encouraged to contact the Lusignan Golf Club at 220-5660 or 620-0093 to secure their place in what promises to be a thrilling showdown.
At the sounding of the horn, the battle for bragging rights and prestigious prizes will officially begin as the excitement doesn’t end on the fairways.
The prize presentation ceremony will cap off the day’s action at approximately noon, as golfers, sponsors, and fans celebrate another successful tournament on Guyana’s premier golf course.
