Erwin Gentle, a 19-year-old Police constable from Supenaam, Essequibo Coast, was remanded to prison after being charged with the rape of a child under sixteen years.
Gentle appeared at the Friendship Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Tameika Clarke, who read the charge. He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to October 27, 2025, for protection statements.
Gentle is accused of committing the act on a 14-year-old girl.
