The Guyana Football Federation (GFF), in partnership with Blue Water Shipping, hosted another action-packed day of football in the GFF/Blue Water Shipping Under-15 Girls National Secondary School Championship at the Number Five Ground, West Coast Berbice, where young female players displayed impressive talent, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The day featured six matches among President’s College, Bush Lot Secondary, Canje Secondary and New Campbellville Secondary, all competing for a place in the quarter-finals.
In the opening fixture, Bush Lot Secondary secured a 2-0 win over Canje Secondary, with both goals coming from Ashanti Scott, who continued her excellent form throughout the day.
President’s College then began their dominant run, defeating New Campbellville Secondary 7-0. Shermel Blake, Reyana Gounga and Kimora Edwards each found the net twice, along with an own goal by New Campbellville.

The team from President’s College maintained their momentum with a commanding 12-0 victory over Canje Secondary, highlighted by an extraordinary six-goal performance from Kimora Edwards.
Reyana Gounga (3), Shermel Blake (1), Neisa Lewis (1), and Nalini LaRose (1) rounded off the scoring in a match that showcased clinical finishing and coordination.
Bush Lot Secondary also recorded a second 2-0 win, defeating New Campbellville Secondary with another brace from Ashanti Scott.
Canje Secondary later celebrated their first win of the tournament, overcoming New Campbellville Secondary 2-0, thanks to goals from LaToya Williams and Kishanna Fyffe.
In the final match of the day, President’s College closed in emphatic fashion with a 9-0 victory over Bush Lot Secondary.
Hat-tricks from Shermel Blake and Reyana Gounga, along with goals from Luiza Pugsley, Nalini LaRose and Neisa Lewis, sealed their unbeaten record.
At the conclusion of the day’s fixtures, President’s College finished as Group A winners, with Bush Lot Secondary placing as runners-up.
Both teams have advanced to the quarter-finals of the national championship.
