The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has shown support for one of its emerging cricket talents, Lance Corporal Sherica Campbell, who is currently featuring for the Berbice Senior Women’s Team in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) 50-overs Inter-County Tournament.
Campbell, an accomplished all-rounder who opens the batting and bowls medium pace, received a presentation of cricket gear from the GPF Officers’ Cricket Team on Monday.
The presentation was made by Deputy Commissioner “Administration” Ravindradat Budhram, who is also Chairman of the Police Officers’ Cricket Team, alongside other senior officials.
Lance Corporal Campbell is stationed at the Police Communications Branch and is a product of the Police Cricket Club, also representing the Rose Hall Cricket Club domestically.
Deputy Commissioner Budhram congratulated Campbell and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to backing its sports personnel, noting that their achievements contribute to pride and discipline across the Force.
Campbell recently played a starring role for Berbice, claiming four wickets (4-17) in their victory over Essequibo, cementing her position as one of the standout performers in the ongoing tournament.
