Police find ganja in White Oats packets at Ogle Airport

 

The Guyana Police Force is investigating the discovery of suspected cannabis in cargo at an Airways facility at Eugene F. Correia International Airport, Ogle.

At around 11:25hrs on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, searches of cargo revealed thirteen small zip-lock bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. The items were concealed inside four White Oats packets placed in a bag destined for Chi Chi Village, Region 7.

The suspected cannabis, which weighed a total of 60 grams, was taken to the GPF Narcotics Branch and lodged for further examination. No arrests have been made in connection with the seizure, and investigations are ongoing.
