As part of its commitment to meeting the sustainability and governance requirements of FIFA Forward 3.0, the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) successfully conducted an environmental clean-up exercise on Thursday (December 18) at the National Training Centre (NTC), Providence, and its surrounding areas.
The activity commenced at 09:00h and focused on reducing the adverse environmental impact of football-related activities, GFF said in a social media post.
“The exercise brought together GFF officials and youth national team players in a coordinated effort to enhance cleanliness and promote environmental responsibility around one of Guyana’s key football facilities,” GFF highlighted.
GFF further added that this collaborative initiative reflects its broader sustainability agenda and aligns directly with the FIFA Forward 3.0 framework, which emphasises environmental stewardship, community engagement, and responsible facility management as integral components of football development.
“By involving young national players and local stakeholders, the GFF continues to demonstrate that football can play a meaningful role beyond the pitch, serving as a platform for positive social and environmental impact within surrounding communities,” GFF concluded.
