15-month-old baby of Guyanese heritage found dead in Queens 

A 15-month-old child was found dead on Monday in Queens, New York, and his mother has been arrested. The child is reportedly of Guyanese heritage.

CBS News reported that the baby was found at a house at 157th Street near 109th Avenue in Jamaica.

The boy’s mother, 28-year-old Nicole Boodhai, was arrested Monday night, police sources told CBS News. She has been charged with murder and endangering the welfare of a child.

Meanwhile, ABC 7 Eyewitness News reported that responding officers found 15-month-old Charlie Ramraykha unconscious and unresponsive, and his 28-year-old mother with slash wounds to her wrists. There was no blunt force trauma to his body, and the medical examiner is expected to determine the cause of his death.

EMS took the child and woman to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where the boy was pronounced dead.
