A 27-year-old man was arrested by police after the vehicle he was caught in was reported stolen.
According to a statement from the police, the black 2017 Nissan X-Trail motor vehicle PWW 2165, property of a distillery company, was reported stolen on December 29.
It was reported that at about 19:30 hrs, while in the vicinity of Green Heart Street, Mackenzie, Linden, the vehicle was parked on the western side of the roadway while the driver entered a supermarket. Upon his return, the vehicle was observed missing and a report was made to the Mackenzie Police Station.
Police, acting on information received, observed the vehicle in the vicinity of Redwood Crescent, Mackenzie, Linden. The man, a resident of Mackenzie was arrested and escorted to the Mackenzie Police Station where he remains in custody.
The police said CCTV footage will be reviewed and no injuries were reported as the investigation continues.
