Kevin Sinclair tapeball tournament set for January 11; Trophy Stall commits support

Top male and female teams will converge at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) on Sunday (January 11) for the annual Kevin Sinclair Foundation tapeball competition.

Sinclair, the Guyana and West Indies all-rounder, said 10 male teams and four female teams will compete in the exciting one day tournament, set to bowl off at 09:30h.

“It will be a thrilling day of tapeball cricket and we’re encouraging fans to come out and be part of the fun,” Sinclair told News Room.

Among the top teams already confirmed for battle are Mahdia Movements Family, Eccles All Stars, Team Sip and Play and Team Corruption.

Over G$500,000 in cash and prizes are at stake, while the side attractions will include a well-stocked bar and bar-b-que from 11:00h to 15:00h.

Meanwhile, award-winning business establishment Trophy Stall has embraced the tournament in a meaningful way, reinforcing its continued support for grassroots sport.

Sinclair said: “We’re happy to welcome Mr. Ramesh Sunich and the Trophy Stall onboard for this tournament. His support is vital to what we want to achieve through this competition.”

Sunich was equally delighted to lend support and wished Sinclair well in the execution of the tournament.
