Ken McPherson, a 32-year-old gold miner of Litchfield Village, West Coast Berbice, was recently arrested and charged with the offence of Attempt to Commit Murder.
The man was arrested on Thursday, August 18, 2025, and subsequently charged for the shooting incident, which he allegedly committed on Shamar Adrian on that date at 14 Miles Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni River.
On Friday, January 9, 2026, at about 10:00 hrs, appeared at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned to February 24, 2026.
