A man is dead and his brother is critically injured after they were involved in a heated altercation with another male at Barakat Landing, Cuyuni River on Sunday. Police Headquarters in a statement said efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
According to the police, the two brothers, who are employed as pork knockers in the area, became involved in an altercation with the suspect at the landing during the evening hours.
During the altercation, the suspect reportedly armed himself with a pair of scissors and dealt both brothers several stabs about their bodies. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene and escaped.
