Four arrested as CANU seizes 70kg of cocaine

The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has arrested four persons in connection with 70 kilograms (154 pounds) of cocaine discovered at Parika, East Bank Essequibo (EBE).

In a statement, the agency said the discovery was made on Sunday after officers acted on information received and visited the location.

Four males, including one (1) Hispanic national, were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the quantity of cocaine.

Investigations are ongoing.
